I worked closely with Trupanion’s leadership team to develop long form shareholder letters for their annual report from 2014-2021. At the time, Founder + CEO, Daryl Rawlings’s theory was that the shareholder letter should be an opportunity to help shareholders understand the ins-and-outs of the business model, from savvy investors to in-house employees. My job was to aid the letter thesis with data visualizations, layout, and copy-writing when the ideas became too convuluted for the everyday employees at Trupanion.
